this is paint it black by the rolling stones. this is my own little take on
it, because the other tabs i have found dont sound right to me, so i thought
id show everyone how i play it. this isnt the exact way to play it, because
the real way requires a capo on the 3rd fret, but by playing it like this it
sounds right. comments welcome, because this is my very first attempt at a

This is a really simple song, however most people just can't figure out that it
is played slightly sharp. Rumor has it that the song was recorded slower than it
actaully is, so they shifted the pitch to alter the speed at the same time, thus
altering the pitch as well. Alot of this is sitar tabbed for guitar, so it may
not be all exact, especially the wild string bends, but I guarantee that it is
closer than anything on this website. Enjoy.

Lead in to the song with three upstroke Em chords and then play this twice:

* Play this riff very freely just like Brian did. Add glissandos and hammmer on/
pull off combinations to make it sound less monotonous. BUT STAY IN KEY!
Now for the second part of the verse it turns into chord strumming, but they are
all quick and choppy with constant downstrokes. The spaces indicate a very short
rest while the bunched up chords mean very fast succession in the pattern.
Listen to the song for the correct timing. The Dm chords and the Dsus4 chords
should be picked out for effect, but it is laid out basic for you.

The only problem I still have in the song is that I have no clue what scale that
the sitar is in, so any help there would be appreciated.
